Tehri Town going to drown in development era

With great sorrow and pain I am informing you that people of that area facing great misery and untold grievances from the in human acts of the Government of Uttaranchal.
On 31st of October, Uttaranchal Govt. has dismantled the Old Tehri town main market. Big shopkeepers compelled to take some money and surrendered their shops. Even the medical and ration shops have also been sealed off. All the people have been depending on their basic amenities of life to them. Remember still thousands of people are in Old Tehri Town. There rehabilitation cases are pending with rehabilitation Deptt. Many families do not have any other alternative but to surrender all.
Eight days ultimatum has been given by the administration to the people. After that they will cut-off the phone lines, they asked the banks, schools and other institutions close-down and to leave the town before 10th of Nov. In this area where more than 25 schools and colleges are still working. The people of that area are greatly depended on those schools and colleges for the education of their children. They are using police force brazenly and brutally against hawkers and vendors. Govt. is now trying to break the bridge, which links their unlucky town with Bhilangna and Bhagirathi valley. The people of the area are suffering great misery and untold grievances from the in human acts of the Government of Uttaranchal.

Mean while will you please send letter or faxes to the C.M. of Uttaranchal to stop this inhuman action.
At least they should rehabilitate people properly. ( I know this is very innocent demand. )
